Visual Diary: Ventimiglia, Italy

FullSizeRender 18

Ciao Ventimiglia! First trip to Italy and it was definitely unexpected…. As we were staying in Nice, France we decided to head over to the Italian border which took under an hour by train. Ventimiglia is around the corner from the French Riviera and next door to Menton!

What I love about the Côte d’Azur is finding cute little towns and villages along the coast crossing to the Italian Riviera. The spontaneous train rides definitely paid off as we arrive in the simple but charming town of Ventimiglia! With the picturesque old town set between the river, ocean, and mountains showing in the background, it is worth stopping over for a few hours. The quiet border town has an authentic Italian flare where you blend in with the locals straight away. There are plenty of food options with local bakeries and restaurants scattered around the town. Try out “Ristorante Margunaira” it is along the coast and the seafood risotto is to die for. Enjoy the visual diary of Ventimiglia!

Till next time, -M
