The Sunshine Blogger Award

Hello Beautiful People!

Biggest thanks to Lenja and Janet from Itchy Feets Blog who nominated me for the “Sunshine Blogger Award”. These duo German girls love travelling like the rest of us and are ambitious to conquer the world! Follow these young wanderlust travellers on their adventures that bring positive vibes to the world.

What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?
The Sunshine Blogger Award is given out by bloggers to fellow bloggers who blog about positive, happy and inspiring content. I think it’s a great way to discover and connect with other bloggers with similar passions.  In today’s society, we are influenced by so many aspects such as social media, current affair and day to day life. At times these influences are negatives and we tend to take it personally. I believe it’s important to live in a positive, happy and inspiring environment. This allows us to grow as a person and achieve our goals.

If our nominees want to accept the award, please read and follow the rules of the award as below:
-Thank the person who nominated you in the blog post and links back to their blog
-Answer the eleven questions sent by the person who nominated you
-Nominate eleven blogs to receive the award and write them eleven new questions
-List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or your blog

Lenja and Jenet Questions

What is your motivation for keeping up a blog and what inspired you to start blogging?
Blogging for me is being able to use my creative side that allows me to write, design my own content and being able to share my photos and experiences. A big source of my motivation is being excited to share my experiences and inspired others to create their own adventures. A friend (The World Wanderer) who was my flatmate in India inspired me to start blogging my adventures around the world.

What did you want to become growing up and what are your thoughts on that now?
Oh dear, this is a good question! When I was 3 years old I wanted to be a ballerina, when I was 5 I wanted to be a doctor, when I was 14 I wanted to be a physiotherapist and when I was 18 I wanted to be a psychologist. As I’m currently studying a double degree in psychology and business, a part of me still wants to be a psychologist but my interest has shifted to working in the area of human rights.

If you had to spend the rest of your life in one place, where would it be?
Speaking on behalf of traveller bloggers this is a tough question to answer… It is a battle between Copenhagen, Paris and Perth. I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I would say my home city Perth, Australia! Even though I complain so much about this city it offers the perfect balance between city life and nature. Sometimes spending time abroad makes you appreciate what you have. As a person who loves to spend every waking moment on the beach or watching the sunset, this is the place to be! However, Paris and Copenhagen are definitely places I won’t mind living in again! (I actually do want to go back and live there again).

If someone told you, that tomorrow you could go to any place around the world for free, where would you go?
I would love to go to Greenland! A place I’ve been eyeing for a while…. Even though it is incredibly expensive and isolated, the raw beauty of the place is absolutely stunning and I would love to see the Northern Lights there!

What is a book you would recommend to everyone and why?
Hands down, The Alchemist! Some may argue it’s a “self-help” book but you learn to see a different perspective in “life lessons” that is relatable.

If the fire alarm would go off and you had only time to take three things with you, what would it be?
Well, this is hard… photos/photo albums,  family recipe book and jewellery that has been passed down to me.

What is a quote you live by or a quote you want to live by?
“Take the negatives and turn it into a positive”. A quote I made a few years ago.

If you could pick a song for the soundtrack of your life, what would it be?
The Score- All my love. It’s such an upbeat and playful song!

What is something you do, to release stress?
Having a swim at the beach, watching the sunset and doing yoga!

If you were given the chance, what would you say to your seventeen year old/teenage self?
Don’t stress too much on year 12, you don’t have to figure out what you want to be right now.

If you could say something to everyone in this world, what would it be?
Be kind to people, laugh and enjoy the small moments in life.

My questions
#1. Describe yourself in three words.
#2. When did you start blogging and what would you like to achieve from it?
#3. If you had 24 hours to do anything, what would you do or who would you become?
#4. Who is your inspiration/role model?
#5. If you had to travel for 6 months, what continent would you pick?
